[Solved] Cannot Sign In to Microsoft teams Error code — signInRestriction:1

Error code — signInRestriction:1

Due to org policy, you can’t use user@domain.com with Teams on this device. Contact your admin for more info.

Hi Everyone,

If you are facing below error while trying to access MS Teams, then below is the working solution:

Steps:

1. Right click on teams icon from system tray and quit. (It is an icon present with Volume, WIFI symbol in bottom right of your screen. Incase, it’s not appearing there click on up arrow to see hidden icons)

2. Go to settings by pressing Windows + I

3. Click on Accounts > Email and Accounts

4. Select your work/school account and click on Manage

5. Step 4 will open a web page in your browser, log in with your school/work account.

6. Go to Devices

7. Disable the current device

8. Now go to file explorer and put in this address bar, %appdata%\Microsoft\Teams

9. Step 8 will open teams folder

10. Delete contents of entire folder

Voila, restart MS Teams and you are good to go.
